Our Story

Founder and Designer Diana Torres
Crisálida was born from the heart and hands of Diana Torres, a Colombian designer who grew up immersed in the world of craftsmanship. From a young age, Diana was captivated by the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and skilled artistry that filled her family’s home. Raised by generations of artisans, she learned early on the power of creativity and hard work. But for Diana, it wasn’t just about admiring her parents' and grandparents' craftsmanship—it was about carrying that tradition forward in her own way. As she grew, Diana began to experiment with materials and techniques, blending the rich Colombian heritage she had inherited with her own vision for modern, elegant clothing. Crisalida emerged from this fusion of tradition and innovation—a line of sophisticated, timeless pieces that celebrate the beauty of both culture and creativity.

However, Crisalida is more than just a fashion brand—it is a mission. Diana is deeply committed to social and philanthropic causes, ensuring that all artisans behind Crisálida’s pieces are women who are heads of households or survivors of domestic violence. By providing opportunities to these talented women, Diana not only highlights their incredible craftsmanship but also empowers them to rebuild their lives and thrive.
Today, Crisálida stands as a tribute to Diana’s roots, a testament to her creativity, and a reflection of her purpose: to celebrate the confidence, resilience, and individuality of women everywhere while making a tangible impact on their lives. Behind every piece is a story of strength and hope, woven with love and purpose.
